Job Description
Summer Discovery Program Food Service Cafe Helper3 positions available
Qualified Candidate possesses:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. minimum
- Ability and knowledge to perform assigned duties
- Experience with food service
- Cash register experience preferred
- Successful completion of Manager Certification for Food Safety within the time frame established by the availability of training and testing
Position Description:
The duties responsibilities and description of work to be performed by this classification are as follows:
- Setting up food counters
- Assists in preparing food for breakfast and lunch
- Understands and implements Offer vs. Serve
- Interacts positively with students and staff in a friendly and kind manner at all times
- Serving students with the ability to operate point of sale computerized system
- Monitors the determination of reimbursable meals at point of service
- Ability to frequently lift and move up to 30 pounds
- Follows proper sanitation procedures when cleaning tables and equipment
- Follows proper handwashing and glove procedures
- Daily cleaning of kitchen serving area storage area equipment and washing of dishes
- Assisting Cooks with duties as assigned with minimal supervision
- Handling money
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Food Service Office
June 23rd to July 31st
Monday through Thursday 7am to 1pm
