Job Duties

The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as a Remediation Patch Analyst in the Information Management Division.

Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

The Remediation Patch Analyst plays a key role in keeping software updated with the latest security patches. This individual will have experience installing and troubleshooting software on desktop and servers performing ongoing threat and vulnerability assessments analysis of the DMAS managed systems and applications and implement remediation through patches updates and testing. The Remediation Patch Analyst will document processes and procedures and work with others to develop automation.

The position you are applying for is an Hourly/Wage position. Hourly (wage) employees may not work more than an average of 29 hours a week and cannot exceed 1500 hours during their employment year. This position does not include health insurance retirement or leave.

Minimum Qualifications

Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications:

Working knowledge of desktop and server operating systems and applications.

Working experience with Microsoft Software Installer (MSI) packaging and packaging software for installation testing and deployment to desktops remotely.

Working knowledge of Managed Engine Endpoint Central Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and other automation tools for updates patching and software vulnerability remediation.

Considerable experience troubleshooting software packages deployments and client components.

Considerable scripting experience with but not limited to PowerShell VBScript and batch scripts.

Working knowledge analyzing vulnerability reports to determine patching priorities.

Working experience documenting processes and recommending improvements to ensure the health and optimization of computing environments.

Working knowledge interpretation and application of federal state laws/regulations.

Working experience meeting deadlines.

Experience with internal/external stakeholders.
