Financial Crime Operations Analyst

The Compliance team at EY GDS partners with other EY offices across the globe to provide an array of compliance solutions to our clients. The team works on short to long term engagements to assist in establishing maintaining and reviewing the outputs of business functions and compliance programs.

Financial crime risks relating to antimoney laundering (AML) financing antibribery controls sanctions compliance and fraud are a high focus for regulated businesses and external scrutiny as regulation and practice continues to evolve. Responsible for developing and overseeing the financial crime and fraud prevention framework designed to ensure client(s) are compliant protected from risk and loss from financial crime.

The Opportunity

As a part of our Global Managed Services Delivery team you will be working with EY offices across the globe to provide an array of compliance solutions to our clients. The team works on short to long term engagements to provide assistance in establishing maintaining and reviewing the outputs of business functions and compliance programs.

Our Financial Crime Consulting team consists of hundreds of professionals who advise and drive change for the firms banking capital markets insurance and asset management clients in Financial Crime. Our Financial Crime Consulting team specializes in topics including:

  • Customer screening

  • Payment screening filtering for Sanctions PEPs and adverse media

  • KYC Remediation

  • Antimoney laundering transaction monitoring

  • Lookback reviews and loan file reviews

  • Compliance testing and FATCA

  • Financial crime risk assessment reviews

Key Responsibilities

As a Financial Crime Compliance Analyst you will predominantly support the compliance team in the financial crime space. You will help businesses comply with financial crime regulations and adhere to relevant client(s) policies and procedures related to antimoney laundering and counterterrorist financing.

  • Demonstrate keen interest in compliance and regulatory issues related to Banking & Capital Markets industry and participants

  • Multitask learn on the job and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines in a fastpaced environment

  • Deliver exceptional client service

  • Work in a collaborative environment as well as independently based on the requirementUnderstand the overall process and objective before beginning to work on a task

  • Escalate issues and problems articulate clearly to leadership onshore and client team

  • Demonstrate integrity respect and be able to work collaboratively with team membersTake ownership and initiatives to improve the status quo

Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Time management skills to be able to manage deadline effectively

  • Exhibit analytical skills and attention to detail while maintaining a holistic view and logical thinking

  • Exceptional analytical organizational and planning skills

To qualify for the role

  • 01 years of work experience in AML KYC and/or Sanction Screening and/or transaction monitoring and/or regulatory reporting and/or banking etc

  • MBA with an emphasis in Risk Accounting Finance Economics or a related financial field

  • Strong research skills and advanced skills in various Microsoft applications such as Word Excel and PowerPoint

  • Good understanding of banking industry its products and services

  • Willing to work in shifts if required

  • Need to work from office

  • Willing to work on Indian Holidays as per requirement

  • Ability to work under pressure and collaborate as a team

  • Willing to travel within the country and internationally as required

Ideally youll also have
