CENTRAL MONTANA LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER COOPERATIVE215 Seventh Avenue SouthLewistown Montana 59457TITLE:OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTQUALIFICATIONS:1.Occupational Therapy Certification/ OTR/L2.Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of medical and school personnel and function productively within each building3.Ability to communicate effectively with parents4.Ability to establish rapport with a variety of studentsREPORTS TO:CMLRCC DirectorJOB GOAL:The occupational therapist will assess diagnose and provide OT services to students according to schoolbased OT guidelines. The occupational therapist will provide consultative services to assure students can access and benefit from educational programs.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Supervise school personnel on a consultative basis.2.Maintain a current license and personal malpractice insurance.3.Comply with and follow Montana Special Education Office of Public Instruction regulations Montana state occupational therapy licensure regulations and the American Occupational Therapy Association code of Ethics.4.Screen evaluate and reevaluate referred students through a variety of standardized and nonstandardized procedures appropriately selected to identify functional performance levels and participate in students ER either through written report telephone or in person.5.Participate in IEPs for students receiving OT services.6.Plan and implement treatment and or consultative programs for eligible students as stated in their IEPs.7.Provide information to ER and IEP meetings using computerbased data management systems.8.Develop teach and supervise OT monitoring programs for students in compliance with accepted practices and conduct therapies in the presence of school staff who will be responsible to support the students programming.9.Submit quarterly reports on student progress toward meeting their annual fine/gross motor goals.10.Suggest or design/construct adaptive equipment and devices needed by students (with approval of the director).11.Coordinate occupational therapy programs of students with the educational program home programs and services of other disciplines.12.Provide formal and informal inservice programs for teachers parents and appropriate school personnel.13.Provide office personnel with weekly and monthly schedules and inform office personnel of any deviations from the schedule.14.Attend and participate in appropriate committees related to evaluation.15.Maintain an appropriate system of student referral record keeping and reporting recommendations.16.Determine treatment priorities appropriate caseloads schedules and procedures for providing OT services.17.Complete evaluations in a timely manner and provide reports to ER and IEP teams.18.Provide Medicaid billing information and appropriate therapy documentation in a timely manner.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:1.0 FTE 187 days. $50000 base for intern. Salary and work year to be established by the Board of Representatives.EVALUATION:Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Boards Policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
