We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide school nursing services to students and help maintain a healthy and supportive learning environment. This role involves supporting the health and safety of students during the school day managing healthrelated incidents and maintaining uptodate health records. This position requires someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and a passion for supporting student health and wellbeing.The Baird School offers a unique educational environment providing an alternative for children ages 514 (grades K8 whose needs cannot be met in a regular education setting. Students engage in academic social emotional and behavioral programming to develop skills and strategies that will enable them to succeed in the least restrictive educational environment. Responsibilities:Assess and manage the health needs of students including administering medication first aid and emergency care as needed.Maintain accurate and uptodate student health records including immunization tracking and health assessments annual hearing/vision screenings.Communicate with parents pediatricians and school staff regarding student health issues and treatment plans.Ensure compliance with state and federal school health standards of practice and regulations. Promote overall health education and whole school whole community and whole child initiatives.
