Opportunity snapshot
Member of the DevOps team with responsibility for architecting and designing cloud solutions and drive automation. This role will primarily be supporting the SS&C managed services platform which hosts inhouse developed software applications for our customers on AWS as well and with our private cloud system.
Role responsibilities
Design Cloud Infrastructure solutions for our MSP services. This is to include products such as Bluedoor HiTrust MFA and miscellaneous support systems.
Design CI/CD Automation to deploy all infrastructure and code deployment.
Work with other Business Units as well as Architecture teams to ensure a proper design can be generated for the DevOps Build Team.
Assist with the Build Team during deployment of new services.
Evaluate internal pipelines and design efficiencies in automation.
Project Management capabilities.
Assess and build new monitoring capability across onpremises & cloud hosted environments
Assist Cloud Engineers to design AWS Solutions.
Act as 3rd level support for All DevOps Support Related Support issues.
Be flexible to work out of hours according to a support roster and as to liaise with remote teams in other regions.
Experience
IT degree or equivalent experience
7 years experience working in a DevOps role
Solid understanding of DevOps practices and methods
Solid understanding tech stack to include:
AWS
Terraform
PowerS & Bash
Windows/Linux
Puppet
SaltStack
Containerization
VMWare
Databases Postgres/MSSQL)
CI/CD Tools such as TeamCity Octopus GitHub Actions
Working knowledge of SDLC principles and methodologies
A passion for automating manual processes
Keen to continuously improve & innovate
