Job Description

The Columbus Grove Local School District is seeking an educational leader. The new superintendent will succeed Mr. Nick Verhoff who has been with the district for the past 13 years as superintendent.Columbus Grove Local School is a rural school district located in northwest Ohio in Putnam County. District residents take extreme pride in their school district and communities. The district consists of a PK12 building with a total enrollment of 739 students. Vocational students attend Apollo Career Center in Allen County Ohio. Columbus Grove Local Schools offers a wellrounded academic cocurricular educational program in a small town setting. The most recent Ohio report card score was 5 Stars. We were the only Putnam County School to receive this high of a rating. District finances are in excellent shape. In 2024 the Elementary school was named a National Blue Ribbon School. In 2024 U.S. News and World Report ranked our High School 51st out of 1000 High Schools.The Columbus Grove Local School Board of Education is searching for an exceptional educational leader who will actively engage with the community and prioritize student achievement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep commitment to student growth fostering a learning environment that encourages both academic and personal development. This leader will possess strong interpersonal skills enabling them to build impactful and authentic relationships with all stakeholders and expertly communicate the districts vision.
