COMPENSATION: $95000 to $105000 per year. You are eligible for a ShortTerm Incentive with the target at 5 of your annual earnings; terms and conditions apply.

Variant Assessment Scientist I Development (REMOTEUS)

The primary responsibilities of this role include leading crossfunctional projects to drive scientific innovation and excellence in variant classification genedisease validity computational biology and clinical data analytics. As a member of the Genomic Science Development team the variant scientist will evaluate the latest scientific advancements to continuously improvethe AmbryClassifiprogram andimplement new analytical methods and automation tools. The successful candidate will focus on high impact datadriven outcomes to support business goals.

Essential Functions:

• Rigorous analysis of scientific data evaluating external published literature and designing internal validation studies
• Leadership of crossfunctional groups at the team department and enterprise level
• Demonstrate scientific expertise in molecular genetics variant science and genedisease validity
• Develop innovative technologies software tools AI/ML to improve the quality and efficiency of variant gene disease and clinical data curation and classification
• Develop robust processes to implement scientific advancements meeting all quality assurance standards and documentation requirements while maintaining operational efficiency
• Develop educational training modules and methods to ensure broad adoption of all scientific advancements in a highthroughput laboratory environment
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• PhD MD or MS (with min. of 3 yrs experience) in scientific analysis and expertise in biological sciences molecular genetics human genetics or related field
• Thorough and ongoing knowledge of current theories and principles of human genetics
• Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills to engage stakeholders and socialize success
• Ability to adapt to significant change that is inherent in development and innovation
• Ability to work in and contribute to a fastpaced highly collaborative environment

Preferred:

• Postdoctoral fellowship or minimum 2 years of experience in clinical variant science preferred
• Experience in project program and change management preferred

Our salary ranges are determined by role level and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
