As a part of MTU Aero Engines with over 80 years of experience in the design development and production of jet engine components modules and engines; MTU Maintenance is a global network of over 4000 employees with over 35 years of experience in the MRO market.

MTU provides maintenance from targeted hospital visits to complete overhauls on over 30 commercial aero engine and industrial gas turbine lines and has completed more than 18000 shop visits for over 1400 customers worldwide. Within this Global network MTU Maintenance Dallas provides hospital shop and onsite maintenance services.

Job Summary:
The Aviation Engine Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the aviation engine maintenance team. This role ensures that all engine maintenance activities are conducted efficiently safely and in compliance with aviation regulations and company standards. The supervisor will manage a team of technicians coordinate with other departments and maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities.

YOUR TASKS

Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of aviation engine technicians ensuring all tools and parts are available.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of team members providing feedback and training as necessary.
Oversee all aspects of engine maintenance including inspections repairs overhauls and modifications.
Ensure maintenance activities are carried out according to manufacturer specifications company policies and aviation regulations.
Provide technical guidance to the team.
Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment including executing workstation audits.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations EASA standards and other relevant aviation authorities.
Coordinate with other departments including logistics and engineering to ensure efficient workflow.
Communicate effectively with upper management providing updates on maintenance activities and any issues that arise.
Liaise with suppliers and external service providers as requested from Operations Management.
Participate in training programs and professional development activities.

YOUR PROFILE

Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Aviation Maintenance Aerospace Engineering or a related field preferred.
A&P License or a P License preferred.
Minimum of 35 years of experience in aviation engine maintenance.
Minimum 5 years experience in large commercial engine onwing maintenance with progressive advancement; internal candidates must have at least 1 year experience with MTU Maintenance Dallas in current position.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience in an aviation maintenance environment.
Familiarity with work scopes including borescope inspections compressor top & bottom case repairs module removal and installation engine change & QEC AD and SB modifications hot section replacements configuration change fan blade replacement lease return and prebuy inspections.
Military Experience is acceptable if the experience is from an engine shop background.

Require Skills/Abilities:
Strong knowledge of aviation engine systems and maintenance procedures.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues.
Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical ability to perform handson maintenance tasks as needed.

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of physical ergonomics.
The role requires standing walking bending and lifting heavy equipment or parts up to 50 pounds at times.
