Job Description

As a Sales Engineer SEL Panels a typical day might include the following

  • Manage and develop relationships with internal and external SEL customers.
  • Understand the true requirements and objectives of customers. Determine communicate and deliver the optimal SEL solution that best meets their needs.
  • Build and maintain knowledge of all SEL products with a focus on Panel enclosure and retrofit solutions. Facilitate and advise on optimal SEL product integration and retrofit solutions to be built within the SEL Panel factories.
  • Teach and consult with internal and external customers to achieve optimal SEL content and integration with 3rd party devices and components.
  • Initiate track and facilitate proposals for SEL Engineering Services panel projects. Facilitate order entry of Panel projects to the SEL Panel factories.
  • Work collaboratively to understand design needs and constraints to optimize product utilization in Panel projects. Drive the resolution of issues delays and roadblocks to assure on time delivery and optimal customer satisfaction of SEL Panel assemblies.
  • Liaise between SEL factories Engineering Services Sales Representatives Sales and Customer Service customers and external parties to facilitate commercial relationships and efficient defect free delivery of SEL panel assemblies.
  • Utilize business tools to maintain customer relationship information opportunity tracking and sales activities.

This job might be for you if possess the following

  • A B.S. in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering a related engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in technical sales
  • 2 or more years of experience in an electrical engineering or technical sales environment
  • Demonstrated success working in a customer facing role
  • Ability to travel 2530 of the time
  • Effective and engaging communication skills
  • Ability to skillfully manage price and commercial negotiations with the support and guidance of senior team members
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Utility industrial or manufacturing industry experience (preferred)
  • Experience with electrical relay panels or enclosures (preferred)

Salary Information

$78000 $120000 per year. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job responsibility and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and jobrelated factors such as candidate experience training knowledge and skills.
