Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and skilled High School Math Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mathematics and a commitment to integrating vocational skills with math education preparing students for both academic and career success.Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Development: Design and implement a rigorous math curriculum that aligns with MA DESE standards and integrates vocational applications relevant to students career pathways. Instruction: Deliver engaging and effective instruction in mathematical concepts including algebra geometry trigonometry precalculus statistics and practical applications of math in vocational contexts. Assessment: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Data: Utilizes student data to improve instruction and student outcomes. Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive respectful and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Collaboration: Partner with academic and vocational program instructors to ensure students understand the realworld applications of their math education and to enhance their educational experience. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional practices and stay updated on current trends in math education and crosscurricular training. Parent and Community Engagement: Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and foster relationships with community organizations to support student learning. Advisory Role: Act as a mentor or advisor to students assisting them with academic challenges and guiding them in career exploration.
