Caregiver

Job Summary:

Village Caregiving Charleston is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual for the position of Part Time Caregiver for clients located in and around Chesapeake West Virginia. As a Caregiver you will provide support and assistance to our residents with daily living activities and ensure their physical emotional and social wellbeing. This is an individual contributor role where you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of our clients.

Responsibilities:

Assist clients with tasks such as bathing grooming dressing and toileting.
Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients.
Help residents with mobility and transfers as needed.
Plan and prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as necessary.
Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
Communicate any concerns or changes in clients condition to the appropriate staff members.
Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in a similar role preferred.
Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and principles.
Basic understanding of medical terminology.
Ability to work well with others and build positive relationships with clients their families and other staff members.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift and transfer clients as needed.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.
