Internal Senior Accountant

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic experienced and selfmotivated Internal Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will have at least 45 years of accounting experience. This position reports to the Controller and oversees general ledger accounts payable and reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the general ledger including journal entries reconciliations and monthend close.
- Oversee accounts payable including vendor setup payments and inquiries.
- Ensure accurate recording of cash receipts and conduct weekly A/R review meetings.
- Provide financial and operational data develop automated reports and support business reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements in A/P collections and reporting.
- Become a subject matter expert in ERP/Time & Billing software (Deltek Maconomy).
- Support annual processes such as 1099 filings and budget data compilation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or related field; CPA license preferred.
- 45 years of accounting experience
- Understanding of billing and collections processes.
- Experience with GL systems.
- Selfdirected detailoriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem solver who enjoys challenges.
