Tasks and Responsibilities:
Use laundering equipment and the correct amounts of proper chemicals to safely and thoroughly cleanand press linen.
Ensure usage of approved cleaning chemicals.
Operate stock and maintain storage closetsto include such items as linenstowels toiletry items and cleaning supplies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
Examine and sort articles for laundry according to color fabric dirt content and cleaning techniquerequired.
Uphold departmental standards of quality of work and timing measured by brand customer satisfactionmetrics and Atrium labor guidelines.
May be required to train newly hired associates and support ongoing performance development.
Perform work on a deep cleaning and preventative maintenance scheduled program for assigned areas of thehotel.
Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property report damage theft and foundarticles to supervisor.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures report equipment problems andmaintenance issues accidents injuries and safety hazards or unsafe work conditions to leadership.
Complete any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
What will you bring
Preferablyprevious housekeeping experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Flexible schedule
Engaging and friendly personality
Ability to communicate effectively
Good time management skills
Capable of working on feet for an extended period
Ability to perform the following tasks:
Move traverse and position self to reach corners on floors and high places
Observe conditions detect odors and navigate carts weighing up to 100lbsin tight spaces
Operate equipment including spray bottles vacuums mops brooms dust pans scrub pads and dusters
Lift carry and position loads of at least 25lbs
