Job Description

The AWS Infrastructure organization is looking for a resultsoriented capacity planning leader. Based in our Dublin or London offices data center capacity planning owns the supply plan for data center power and space in response to the customer forecasts. We own initiatives to model and improve the utilization of our power cooling and space infrastructure in our data centers so that we are generating capacity at the lowest possible cost.

In this role you will work closely with demand planning finance construction and software development teams to deliver high quality and robust capacity planning processes with favorable business outcomes. You will identify defects or waste in our planning processes and drive new processes and software automation to eliminate the defects and prevent them from recurring without posing risk to availability.

In this role you will;
Take large complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces
Clearly communicate goals roles responsibilities and desired outcomes to internal crossfunctional and remote teams.
Be responsible for endtoend program delivery of process improvement projects and data modelling exercises
Support continuous process improvement through leading workflow updates documenting & implementing lessons learned and sharing knowledge across delivery teams to ensure EMEA wide efficiency improvements.
Regularly report to senior leadership on status of key project metrics vs. commitment of your projects.

Our Capacity Planning Managers work in collaborative crossfunctional environments and work backwards from the needs of internal and external customers to create solutions that work for upstream and downstream teams as well as data center capacity planning. They are part of high functioning teams and are committed to process improvement and analyzing large data sets to communicate clear and concise insights.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words were the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers storage networking power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. 6 years of BI and/or Supply/Demand Planning experience with focus on using large data sets to generate insights.
Bachelors degree in Business Analytics IT or Engineering
Demonstrable experience in effectively analyzing planning metrics as it relates to large scale biannual financial or S&OP planning efforts
Experience in management of complex databases or systems requiring deep analytical skills (data visualization development experience SQL etc.


Experience of influencing a wide range of stakeholders and partners across global regions
Experience with and understanding of complex planning tools understanding large scale data sets
Experience of building and presenting long term scenario plans to senior leadership exercising business judgement.
