Job Description
Are you experienced in reading engineering drawings and effectively communicating technical information to suppliers Do you have a track record of developing suppliers in a manufacturing organization Join our Supply Chain team at Oxford Instruments and take on a diverse role that includes supplier development buying duties and strategic sourcing.
As part of our team you will play a crucial role in developing and monitoring our supplier base. You will be responsible for implementing sourcing strategies that drive cost reductions time savings and introduce new suppliers to meet future business requirements. Your expertise will be instrumental in making make vs buy decisions and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally you will be involved in interpreting design drawings identifying challenging manufacturing aspects and collaborating with suppliers to implement scalable and flexible work processes.
To excel in this position your previous experience in a similar supply chain role specifically in supplier development within a complex manufacturing environment is essential. You should be proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
