Job Description
Responsibilities
Peraton is now hiring a Software Test Engineer (Automated) to support Intelligence Community and DoD customers as part of a talented highperforming team. As part of this team you will work with emerging service and distributed computing technologies for Space Domain Awareness (SDA) data processing and distribution.
At the heart of national security weve been embedded into this cuttingedge program for nearly a decade. You will be working in a rewarding mission focused environment cutting edge software design development and deployment contributing to the protection and defense of national space assets. Your efforts will fundamentally change what SDA and Mission Protection means for our Nation.
Skyfire is a SDA Indications and Warning (I&W) system. Its purpose is to establish a repository of resident space objects (RSOs) find RSOs of interest and provide data to ground operators. Located in Chantilly VA the Skyfire team uses sensor modeling and systems engineering expertise to deliver this worldclass SDA I&W system.
What youll do:
- Utilize experiencein maintaining and enhancing test scripts and creating and executing test procedures to support development integration regression and user acceptance testing.
- Design and write test plans and procedures analyze test results and develop and review code as necessary.
- Document bugs in Jira and provide test reports.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree with 10 years of relevant experience; OR bachelors degree with 8 years of relevant experience; OR masters degree with 6 years of relevant experience. Additional four 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelors degree.
- This position requires the candidate possess a minimum of Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request contract requires TS/SCI with poly. The candidate must maintain the clearance.
- Two 2 years experience with software testing
- Two 2 years experience creating test plans/procedures
- Two 2 years experience in an Agile software development environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting customerfacing test events or requirement selloff activities
- Experience working in a Linux based environment
- Experience working with an RDBMS (Postgres MySQL etc.
- Experience creating or maintaining automated software testing scripts/tools (Selenium Cypress etc.
- Experience working with Jira Jenkins Gitlab Ansible
- Experience with Agile
