Job Description

The Department of Management Information Systems in the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University (SDSU) invites applications for a fulltime multiacademic year temporary faculty lecturer position for Fall 2025. This position is temporary and subject to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the California State University system and the California Faculty Association. We are currently seeking applicants with previous academic teaching experience in multiple subjects to join the MIS Department. The candidate will be expected to teach in various topics related to information systems especially decision support systems business intelligence and applied artificial intelligence. The candidate will also be expected to assist with various service and cocurricular activities.

The recently named Fowler College of Business enrolls approximately 9000 undergraduate and graduate students. The MIS Department is a multidisciplinary department with faculty members in the areas of information systems data science AI cybersecurity and supply chain management. The MIS department offers the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) Information Systems Major Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) Master of Science in Cybersecurity Management (MSCM) Master of Science in Supply Chain Innovation (MSSCI) and MBA specializations in Information Systems.

SDSU is the oldest institution of higher education in the San Diego region with a campus and microsites in San Diego and locations in Southern Californias Imperial Valley and Tbilisi in the Republic of Georgia. Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in a related field to be considered. Wellqualified applicants will have demonstrated the ability to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The position starts August 20 2025. The anticipated salary range is $110000 $115000 annually. Consideration of applicants will begin immediately and will be reviewed until 5/15/25.
