Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree required
  • Experience successfully leading a campus as a Campus Principal
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate
  • Valid Texas Principal Certification 068 or 268
  • Knowledge of effective research: change process systems thinking
  • organizational culture and adult learners
  • Ability to plan implement deliver and sustain professional development for school and district personnel
  • Advanced knowledge of curriculum practices instruction assessment school improvement and organizational culture
  • Knowledge of federal and state accountability systems
  • Any acceptable variations of the above as approved by the Executive Director

Center Responsibilites:

  • Process all personal timekeeping travel reporting and other paperwork in a timely manner
  • Maintain professional attire and grooming appropriate for specific job position
  • Demonstrate punctual and regular attendance on the job
  • Reports for work ready to perform responsibilities
  • Supports the mission goals and objectives of the ESC
  • Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the ESC
  • Performs professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies processes and procedures
  • Meets proficiency levels of required technology skills as outlined by supervisor
  • Incorporates appropriate technology in daily work and exhibits continual growth in technologies as outlined by supervisor
  • Exhibit professionalism in all situations at the ESC
  • Develop collaborative and positive relationships with schools and coworkers
  • Exhibit planning and leadership on assigned tasks and projects
  • Ability to take initiative and exhibit innovative thinking
  • Keep supervisor advised of all pertinent financial and operations business
  • Ability to handle constructive criticism in a positive manner
  • Evidence of followingup and followingthrough with services
  • Evidence of professional loyalty
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

DepartmentResponsibilites:

  • Ability to handle and see to completion multiple projects simultaneously and on deadline
  • Demonstrates positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Be willing to work as a member of a team but also independently
  • Attends all called meetings including departmental staff meetings work team meetings and general staff meetings
  • Actively contributes to assigned work teams
  • Upholds confidentiality of the information processed in all work if required
  • Develops and competently implements an individual work plan that clearly contributes to the accomplishment of departmental Integrated Academic Team and organizational goals
  • Analyzes metrics and evaluates outcomes to optimize impact of work

Position Responsilbilites:

  • Coordinate and support elementary campus leadership development through professional development technical assistance coaching and implementation support
  • Coordinate Elementary First Time Administrators Academy
  • Coordinate Elementary Campus Leadership summits/conferences
  • Coordinate regular networking opportunities for elementary campus leaders
  • Facilitate Elementary Campus Leadership ESC8 Advisory Group
  • Coordinate required training and support as required for elementary campus leaders
  • Collect data and feedback to assist in providing relevant and necessary supports for campus leadership that span the broad complexities of the role
  • Work in collaboration with ESC8 staff to provide intra and interdepartmental efforts for providing services and supports for campus instructional leaders
  • Train the state recommended appraisal system for teachers and school leaders: AEL (Advancing Educational Leadership) TTESS SLO and TPESS
  • Lead and coordinate all efforts to provide the delivery of services supports and technical assistance to districts and elementary campuses relating to state & federal accountability systems and legal requirements
  • Collaborate with Coordinator of Secondary Campus Leadership & Accountability to ensure alignment of supports and services to LEAs
  • Provide onsite visits to campuses and districts as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Terms of Employment:

Up to 226 working days
This is an atwill employment position.
In the event of an economic slump a reductioninforce may be necessary. Employees will be notified in writing.
