Tool Maintenance Head
Position Summary:
Responsible for proper upkeep and maintenance of Tools & Instrumentation systems to minimize production loss and production downtime and to promote efficiency
Essential/Primary Responsibilities:
Executive Support:
- Assist production head in developing the short term and long term tool maintenance strategy for the company in line with the overall production plan
- Contribute to the achievement of target production quantity as per stipulated quality and cost standards by ensuring appropriate tool maintenance rework or replacement of the tool
- Participate in the budgeting exercise for the Tool Maintenance department and provide inputs on the maintenance cost estimate and other utility costs
- Identify opportunities and follow up on activities related to the development of domestic spares and reworking on tolls to reduce cost
- Ensure timely maintenance services for all tool maintenance activities in the plant as per the planned production requirement
- Maintain strict adherence to norms laid down for quality and provide an update on any possible compliancerelated issue
- Evaluate tools suppliers and provide rating according to the quality and cost
- Ensure minimizing production disruptions owing to breakdowns due to tool maintenance
- Ensure strict adherence to all statutory requirements in the tool room operations and compliance of all regulatory requirements and standards like ISO TS OHSAS and TPM
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology 5 to 10 Years
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent management timemanagement and problemsolving skills
- Working experience in SAP will carry the added advantage
