Job Description
Our client is looking for a Category Manager to join their team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of ironmongery experience including door handles locks window fittings door hinges bolts door numbers skirting door stops robe hooks and letter plates. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a merchandise or related department within the retail industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category strategies
- Merchandise solutioning
- Financial management including budgeting and profitability optimization
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Ensure high levels of customer service
- Lead and manage a team effectively
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Minimum of 2 years ironmongery experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management Finance or Business Administration
- At least 5 years experience in Category Management or a related field with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role
- Experience managing a merchandise or related department/division
- Experience in a merchandise procurement or sales environment (desirable)
- Nationallevel experience
- Salary: negotiable.
