Job Description

Financial Analyst Residential Development
Portland OR

Our client a leading national residential developer and home builder is looking for a Financial Analyst to assist the Finance Manager by conducting quantitative analyses of division financial information. This role focuses on performing audits on budgets and projected costs as well as completing financial research and analysis on projects assigned by the Finance team.

Financial Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Manage divisional quarterly fiveyear business plan process.
    • Perform complex financial analyses including cash flow projections with financing structures and sensitivity analyses.
    • Create sophisticated Excelbased analytical tools including macroenabled financial models.
    • Prepare and analyze reporting of monthly quarterly and annual budget/forecasts including recommendations for needed changes to promote the business goals.
    • Work with multiple departments to perform indepth financial analysis on feasibility and due diligence of land acquisitions.
    • Review land purchase submittals.
    • Prepare inventory cap reports for the division as well as land acquisition purchase requests.
    • Prepare and analyze monthend gross margin variances/trends and provide explanations and ideas for needed changes
    • Prepare and analyze project profitability spanning the life of the project.
    • Act as an internal consultant to various departments for projects needing financial and accounting expertise.

    Financial Analyst Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in accounting finance or any related field.
    • At least 2 years of related experience and/or training.
    • Must have a vehicle and a valid drivers license.
    • Proficiency with MS Office.
    • Strong attention to detail.
