THIS POSITION WILL BE FILLED AS A PROBATIONAL APPOINTMENT
or PROMOTION OF A PERMANENT CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEE
OF LOUISIANA STATE GOVERNMENT (State Employee)
This position may be filled as:
- DETAIL: The selected employee may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted.
- PROBATIONAL APPOINTMENT: Current permanent status classified State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if selected.
- TEMPORARY JOB APPOINTMENT: This position may be filled by temporary job appointment. If filled as a temporary job appointment should a permanent position become available the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.

Minimum Qualifications
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Eight years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of fulltime work experience in any field plus five years of experience in administrative services; OR
A bachelors degree plus five years of experience in administrative services; OR
An advanced degree plus four years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of fulltime work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Concepts

Examples of Work
- Any level of this series may involve two to twenty administrative functions such as human resources purchasing information technology inventory property control accounting telecommunications budget buildings and grounds maintenance duplicating/printing central records warehousing grants/contracts dietary housekeeping laundry quality assurance and motor pool/fleet management.
