JOB DESCRIPTION ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY

Job Summary:

Responsible for Plant Quality metrics like Customer PPM Overall PPM External PPM Customer incidences & concerns. and NPS t S Cost. Analysis of Customer concerns affecting customer PPM concerns and incidences. Responsible for maintaining the NPS score as per the matrix and ensuring the close interaction with customer. Implementation of Kaizen events and improvement project like A3 related to QA metrics. Responsible to support Customer Process & system audit points related to manufacturing process.

Sufficient exposure to other areas of Quality like Incoming Inprocess & supplier Quality

  1. Ensure the VOC is maintained through the metrices
  2. Institutionalize VOC into the day to day product realization process.
  3. Drive CFT team for the timely closure of all 8D actions for alll customer issues.
  4. Drive projects to reduce Quality Concerns PPM & Quality incidence. If required stop the production lines whenever found any risk and ensure the corrective actions are taken.
  5. Ensure that all customer specific requirements are addressed through the process established in the plant
  6. Track & Monitor the Quality performance of the plant for the customers & address customer issues on fast track.
  7. Ensure functional MOS for Key matrices. Weekly Monthly reports.
  8. Ensure Immediate response to customer issues & the containment at all stages (customer end transit warehouse & in the plant) to avoid line disruption of all customers.
  9. Lead & Drive customer audit preparation & timely closing of all gaps.
  10. Monitor the containment cost; work on reduction thru timely implementation of corrective actions & containment based on risk analysis.
  11. Participate in NPI program to identify the quality risks based on lesson learned; escalate at right time to drive the actions before specific phase exit. Ensure Flawless PPAP for NPI.
  12. Ensure the quality systems are adhered in the SOP and NP processes.
  13. Implementation knowledge of Quality systems like IATF VDA and CSR
  14. Drive customer pass through RCA from Process Lead Process Quality for Shop floor compliance.
  15. Mentor & Coach Process Quality team for Improving BIQ.
  16. Horizontal deployment of 8D & RCA actions.
  17. Ensure adherence to IATF16949 requirement in line with customer specific requirement.
  18. Ensure the robust change management process for all ECNs & process improvements through Kaizen.
  19. Able to handle suppliers for supplier related Quality Issues Containment & robust 8D.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

Strong knowledge of automotive field Engine testing diesel and gasoline engines.

Knowledge of turbocharger and general issues come across during he application.

Good Communication skill to handle interdepartmental teams and customer

Aware of IATF16949 Quality Management Systems

Knowledge and hands on experience in application of APQP PPAP MSA FMEA SPC

Experience in handling quality issues and resolution through systemic application of quality tools

Customer Management. Good Knowledge about GD& T QCI PI IDM & Process Knowledge.

Supplier Issues handling NCM CAR & 8D.

Experience and Education Required:

B.E./ DME Mechanical with 812 years experience in reputed automotive industry in area of process quality & customer Quality management.
