The Role:
AMD is looking for a student to join us for a Spring 2023 terms and help our Validation and Design team develop groundbreaking microprocessor products.
The Person:
This team is looking for a candidate with strong communication skills and ability collaborate to interact with our team an across functional teams.The candidate should have strong analytical thinking and problemsolving skills with excellent attention to details and a willingness and desire to work and grow their skills in the area of microprocessor validation and design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop debug tools to accelerate the analysis for complex issues.
- Utilize the JTAG tools to analyze collect and verify the data collected from the Hardware.
- Work to streamline design validation process and debug to reduce the time to market.
- Interact with customers while debugging and supporting issues.
- Work on PreSilicon platforms to shift left the validation for complex IPs.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- In progress towards a BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Solid understanding of the basics of computer architecture.
- Familiarity with Linux Ruby/Perl/Python scripting.
