What You Will Do Learn:

• Experience testing a variety of electronic units using prescribed test procedures
• Learn to set up and operating various test stands
• Train on configuring test equipment for special tests as needed
• How to interpret and record test results
• How to recognize and isolate test equipment failures
• How to use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electronic units to the subassembly and component level
• How to read and interpret technical data such as component maintenance manuals engineering prints and schematics
• How to communicate work status to team members and support staff (e.g. shift pass down engineering maintenance)
• Enhance theory of electronic circuitry and electrical components
• Writing in a clear and concise technical manner
• Gain computer skills and utilize software applications

To be eligible for a SkillBridge Fellowship you must meet the following requirements:

• Must be eligible to participate in the Fellowship per DoD Instruction 1322.29.
• Must be projected to receive an honorable discharge from the military.
• Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.
• Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4 in the chain of command.
• Must be located within a commutable distance or willing/approved to relocate to the job location.

Work Environment:

In your role you will be exposed to:

Products of various weights and sizes

Equipment with moving parts

Chemicals that may emit fumes

To minimize safety risk to you and the product you must wear staticcontrol and personal protective equipment.

Physical Demands:

Due to the nature of our work you will need to be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Distinguishing colors and meeting vision requirements

Bending stooping reaching turning as needed to place units in test stands pick up totes place units on rack etc.

Using hands for extended periods of time to perform testing and troubleshooting tasks (e.g. grasping holding picking placing twisting fine manipulation)

Must be able to stand for 2hour increments without an opportunity to sit

Must be able to lift 25 pounds

Transporting product with or without product carts

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience or in the absence of a HS Diploma or GED 4 years of relevant experience
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen permanent resident or granted refugee or asylee status).

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Electrical Technician Certification
• Associates degree in Electronics
• Experience with componentlevel troubleshooting

NOTE: SkillBridge Fellows are not eligible for these benefits however they are available upon conversion to fulltime.
