The Role
In this role you will be responsible for independently performing maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on facility and manufacturing equipment during the evening shift in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong technical background the ability to work with minimal supervision and a proactive approach to supporting production operations while ensuring equipment reliability and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Heres What Youll Do
Independently perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing utility and facility equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with critical process equipment in real time to minimize downtime.
Execute work orders and document maintenance activities in Maximo.
Support equipment calibration validation and commissioning as needed.
Provide firstline troubleshooting and resolution for productioncritical systems and escalate complex issues when necessary. Oversee and perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to operations.
Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to optimize the performance and lifespan of facility systems.
Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment ensuring availability when needed.
Train and mentor junior technicians providing guidance on best practices safety protocols and technical skills.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
This position is sitebased requiring you to be at Modernas site fulltime. This position is not eligible for remote work.

Heres What Youll Need (Basic Qualifications)
High school diploma or GED required; Technical Certification or Associates Degree in Mechanical Electrical or Industrial Maintenance is preferred with a minimum of 5 years of related experience
Heres What Youll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
Military training equivalent of above is acceptable.
Previous experience in a cGMP environment is a plus
Familiarity with documentation practices used in a GMP environment is preferred
Experience documenting work in a CMMS (MAXIMO) preferable
Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals blueprints and schematics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to team members and stakeholders.
Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor.
Indepth knowledge of various facility systems including electrical plumbing HVAC carpentry and general maintenance.
