JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position supports the daily operation of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine divisions. The Specimen Processing Technician I performs clerical technical and sample processing for the Clinical testing areas. Staff triage multiple sample types for the Surgical Pathology Cytology Microbiology Cytogenetics and Flow Cytometry.
This is a per diem position; however training will be full time for the first 16 weeks.
EDUCATION:
High school graduate or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
Laboratory experience preferred.
