Job Description

Job Summary:
Under general supervision and according to well defined policies and procedures the Medical Assistant/Receptionist assists in the delivery of primary health and patient care management interviews patients and/or patients representatives to obtain necessary personal demographic and financial information and identification. Performs routine clerical secretarial and administrative work in answering telephones receiving the public providing customer assistance data processing computer data entry and other record keeping tasks related to the patients registration within the registration areas. This position assists with flow of patients from the waiting area to exam rooms and perform preparatory work on patients to ensure efficient use of the physicians time.

Shift: Days
Hours: 9:00am 5:00pm

Job Essentials:

  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a medical office.
  • Knowledge of medical practice and care to assist in giving patient care.
  • Knowledge of examination diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
  • Knowledge of safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
  • Skill in taking vital signs.
  • Skill in maintaining medical records and recording test results.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications.
  • Knowledge of health care administration principles.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients staff and the public.
  • Korean speaking preferred


Education Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistant.

License/Certification/Registry:

  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)/Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)/Patient Care Technician (PCT).
  • Certification required for injection administration and medication documentation / handling.
