The FCU Technology team at PwC Polska includes over 100 IT specialists. The financial services industry operates in a challenging environment due to global economic pressures increasing regulatory and capital requirements and significant operational and technological changes. As FCU Technology we provide innovative technological solutions data analytics and consulting services for global PwC clients responding to key challenges in the area of Anti Financial Crime (Anti Money Laundering Combating Terrorism Financing Fraud Risk Management FATCA and implementation of financial sanctions etc..
We are looking for:
Data Scientist
Your future role:
Be part of the Data Science (R&D) team and take data throughout its full lifecycle research exploration preprocessing development integration and implementation
Participate in brainstorming and developing prototypes/proofs of concepts for using Data Science methods to solve FinCrimerelated problems
Collaborate with other departments and clients to understand processes and come up with tailored solutions
Participate in pricing and technical sales support by creating technical materials and solution architectures
Develop AI models using machine learning deep learning statistical approach and natural language processing
Contribute to data science products development (applications pipelines)
Implement and manage large language models and other Generative AI tools
Take part in trainings certifications and conferences (also as a speaker if You want)
Work in agile environment with backend / frontend / lowcode developers devops and business analysts.
Apply if you have:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in data science or research & development
University degree (preferred in Statistics Econometrics Mathematics or Computer Science)
Proficient knowledge in Python programming language
Familiarity with several key Data Science and Machine Learning packages (e.g. pandas polars scikitlearn keras pytorch lightgbm)
Knowledge of Generative AI concepts (e.g. prompt engineering RAG)
Basic knowledge of cloud solutions (Azure or Google Cloud Platform preferred)
Excellent written & spoken English with great communication skills
Creative and critical thinking skills.
Nice to have:
Experience with MLOps / DevOps technologies (e.g. ML Flow Docker CI/CD Linux)
Ability to implement Generative AI solutions (e.g. Langchain LLamaIndex Azure OpenAI Vertex AI)
Ability to create simple proof of concept applications in Python (Streamilt Poetry)
AML knowledge (Know Your Clients Transaction Monitoring Fraud Sanctions).
