Description: Columbia College Business Administration Department in the Robert W. Plaster School of Business invites applications for a fulltime faculty member and Director of the Steve and Barbara Fishman Center for Entrepreneurship at the Main Campus located in Columbia Missouri for the Fall 2025 academic year. Be a part of a dedicated dynamic and wellrespected faculty that supports innovation creativity and a strong dedication to academic excellence. As Director of the Steve and Barbara Fishman Center for Entrepreneurship (Entrepreneurship Center Director) this person will be responsible for the strategic and daytoday operations of the Center whose mission is to encourage an entrepreneurial spirit and promote entrepreneurship as a career choice. The Director will also be responsible for continuing to build and utilize an Advisory Council for the Center that assists in providing strategic direction of the Center. Teaching Innovation & Entrepreneurship program oversight professional development and service are all required aspects of the position. Teaching responsibilities include both undergraduate and graduate courses in Entrepreneurship Marketing Finance or Management. Customarily the Entrepreneurship Center Director and either Instructor or Assistant Professor teach 1218 academic hours or their equivalent in an academic year with 36 credit hours of load each semester allocated to the Entrepreneurship Center Director role. Departmental service responsibilities include but are not limited to curriculum development and oversight of relevant course offerings in all Columbia College locations participation in department meetings faculty association committees student advising and other service activities such as academic assessment cocurricular activities and College events (may require occasional afternoon evening and/or weekend commitments). Columbia College has nationwide locations and a strong online program the successful candidate should be able to assist the department with curricular needs development and oversight in all teaching venues. Compliance with College policies and directions including but not limited to keeping records providing grades on a timely basis maintaining office hours and evaluating student performance etc. is required. Strong interpersonal skills crosscultural sensitivity and demonstrated potential to contribute positively to a college community are expected. Plaster School of Business has ten fulltime faculty. Prior experience as an entrepreneur and/or college teaching experience are required. The ideal candidate will also have the following: Motivation to develop authentic relationships with students and both potential and current members of the Fishman Center Advisory Council;Desire to work with the Dean on developing and executing a strategic plan for the Fishman Center in addition to working with the Dean and other faculty on executing a strategic plan for the Robert W. Plaster School of Business;Comfort with adapting to a changing higher education landscape;Experience providing effective studentcentered teaching and classroom management strategies which enhance the success of diverse learners;Experience implementing with innovative teaching approaches to teaching and curriculum development in both traditional classrooms and distance education; andExperience with curriculum development.
