The Role

Fully integrated in the Algorithms team your role is to explore specify and develop the next generation algorithms. The outcome of your internship will impact the imaging experience of GoPro users all around the world.
This is a 6month internship.

Internship subject brief description
The purpose of this internship is to study the online optimization of camera codec settings using a machinelearning approach and stateoftheart encoding metrics. The codec controller will be evaluated while exploring various compromises on quality bitrate and power consumption.
What You Will Do
- Build improve and propose new innovative tools for image quality optimization
- Test and validate on GoPro devices photo and video content
Skills Were Stoked About
- Solid background in Computer science and Development
- Knowledge of machinelearning and codec basics
- Strong technical skills in Python and C/C
- Technical English and French practice required
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Interest for photography and image processing is a plus
