Audit Senior
Location: Leeds West Yorkshire
Salary:per annum (DOE)
Job Type: Fulltime Permanent
Our client a wellestablished and expanding accountancy firm is looking for an Audit Senior to join its Leeds office. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional who is working towards or has completed their ACA or ACCA qualification and is looking to take the next step in their career within a highly regarded firm.
The Role
As an Audit Senior you will be a key part of the audit team leading assignments and ensuring the efficient and highquality delivery of audit services to a diverse client base. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning coordinating and completing audit assignments in line with deadlines and budgets
- Preparing statutory accounts and audit files for Manager and Partner review
- Liaising with clients before and during audits to ensure all necessary information is obtained
- Leading audit engagements supervising junior team members and providing guidance and mentorship
- Identifying and resolving key audit issues ensuring compliance with International Standards on Auditing (UK & Ireland)
- Assisting in business development and identifying potential advisory opportunities
The Ideal Candidate
To succeed in this role you should have:
- Qualifications: ACA or ACCA qualified or working towards completion
- Experience: Strong audit experience within an accountancy practice
- Technical Knowledge: A thorough understanding of audit procedures financial reporting and UK regulations
- Leadership Skills: Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members
- Communication Skills: Ability to liaise confidently with clients and internal stakeholders
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet strict deadlines
