Longina Phillips is looking for aTextiles Designer in a fulltime role to support the continued success of its textiles design business.
Reporting to the Creative Director and Head of Design were on the hunt for a passionate and imaginative Textile Designer to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who breathes creativity has a keen eye for detail and is eager to push the boundaries of textile design.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
Conceptualise and create new textile print designs for seasonal design collections
Interpret Storyboard information as briefed by the Creative Director and Head of Design
Taking part in social media campaigns
Customer work; including preparation of designs for production repeats creating colourways colour separation colour matching engineering prints for garments
Quoting for customer work
Colour matching and printing for various collections
File management and database organisation
Efficient time management
Performing all duties in an efficient and timely manner.
About You
This role is for you if:
You are competent in Photoshop and other relevant design packages
You are able to draw paint and illustrate at a high level
Bachelors degree in Textile Design Fashion Design or equivalent industry qualification.
At least 3 years of experience in textile design specifically with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in pattern creation.
You are collaborative and enjoy the creation of beautiful designs
You are creative hold a keen eye for design and what looks good on a garment
You are trend driven across fashion with an interest in and interpretation of trends
You enjoy multitasking respond well to last minute changes and working towards deadlines
You possess an undergraduate in Textile Design or similar
This role is based in Sydney and is for an immediate start please only apply if you are based in Sydney Australia.
