Job Description:
As a Manufacturing Technician you will be responsible for contributing to the success of our Sensors Division working alongside our Production team. This role will be responsible for performing assembly and/or testing of electro optical and infrared products.
Essential Functions:
- Peform incoming functional test procedures.
- Troubleshoot and repair systems by replacing faulty components/assemblies.
- Intall software and firmware in accordance with instructions.
- Per procedure guidelines peform postmaintenance on tests.
- Prepare requied serviced documentation in a timely fashion.
- Attend offsite training courses and selfstudy as required to maintain competency and compliance with serviced units company polices and procedures.
- Intervace with internal and external customers.
- Provide regular status reports on work in progress.
- Uphold safety requirements by wearing PPE and properly using work equipment in designated areas.
- Work against contractual deadlines to meet customer delivery dates.
- Access and utilize web based technical publications.
- Follow ESD FOD and Lasers procedures.
- Follow industry standart or practice for 6S.
- Planning/organizational skills with ability to prioritize work assignments.
- Intermediate computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Abiliy to work individually and in a diverse and teamoriented environment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years postSecondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior relevant experience is preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of experience reading test procedures operating instructions drawings schematics wiring diagrams and specifications preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical knowledge and skills in troubleshootng down to the component level.
- Analog and digintal troubleshooting.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with electrical/electronic troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of infrared/optical/laser systems.
