Job Description

Scientific Products an ATS Companyisexpanding our team and has an immediate opening for aMechanical Assembler/Brazer in our Warminster Pa location! The hours for this position are Monday thru Thursday 6am to 3pm and Fridays 6am to 12pm.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble various segments of mechanical systems and toplevel assemblies as well as lowerlevel components and subassemblies under the direction of the immediate supervisor.
  • Interpret and use drawings process procedures and other written documentation to complete preparation and assembly of components.
  • Fabricate simpler components using various items including hand tools power tools fixtures jigs drills taps saws and other tools and tooling.
  • Form prepare and align copper brass and plastic piping along with associated bracketing and hardware.
  • Braze solder and bond piping as may be required. Mount various assemblies and components.
  • Perform required metal treatment processes per documented procedures and work instructions; processes include polishing painting and passivation.
  • Meet documented specification requirements and quality standards in a cost effective and timely manner.
  • Use various types of material handling equipment including hand trucks carts forklifts scissor lifts cranes etc. where required and available.
  • Maintain a neat clean and organized work area. Suggest changes for improved operations and cost savings.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner as required in the manufacturing process such as: Time and Attendance Sheets Assembly Routers Nonconformance Records and Test Records.
  • Follow all safety policies precautions recommendations and procedures as may be applicable.
  • Assist other production departments or operations areas based on workloads and needs. Assist in other nonproduction areas as may be required by supervision and management.

    Qualifications and/or Experience

    • Welding soldering and brazing experience or certification a plus.
    • Fork Truck Drivers License a plus.
    • Technical School a plus.
    • Previous experience a plus.
    • The employee is regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds.

    All employees have the responsibility to work in a safe manner and report any health safety or environmental concern to their manager or supervisor in a timely manner.

    Employee responsibilities for Health Safety and Environment include:

    • Work in compliance with divisional health safety and environmental procedures
    • Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockouttagout methods
    • Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts
    • Report defect in any equipment or protective device
    • Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks
    • Attend all required health safety and environmental training
    • Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor
    • Assist in investigating accidents/incidents
    • Refrain from engaging in any prank contest feat of strength unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
