Job Description

Job Title:Production Planning C

Job Code:21952

Job Location: Salt Lake City Utah

Job Schedule: 9/80:Employees work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

The Production Planner interfaces with multiple departments and organizations and is primarily responsible for ensuring project deliverables are completed on schedule.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform critical path analysis to identify and mitigate delays that could impact production schedules
  • Analyze material configuration and job order status using Windowsbased computer systems and software
  • Coordinate and negotiate workflow through multiple work centers via various functional organizations to secure needed resources while ensuring changing customer demands and schedule deadlines are met.
  • Identify and create goals that lead to the successful completion of project deliverables within the allotted time
  • Effectively communicate detailed schedule development to stakeholders department leads production management and executive management
  • Perform detailed schedule risk and continuous improvementbased analysis to identify develop and drive solutions
  • Frequently lifts twists and rotates with 32 pounds on a consistent basis
  • Works overtime weekend holiday and/or second shift hours as needed by program

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years postSecondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in a manufacturing production or other highly schedulebased environment
  • Experience in project or program techniques
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Excel Word Project and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems
  • Interpret basic engineering instructions and drawings
