Job Description:
The Production Planner interfaces with multiple departments and organizations and is primarily responsible for ensuring project deliverables are completed on schedule.
Essential Functions:
- Perform critical path analysis to identify and mitigate delays that could impact production schedules
- Analyze material configuration and job order status using Windowsbased computer systems and software
- Coordinate and negotiate workflow through multiple work centers via various functional organizations to secure needed resources while ensuring changing customer demands and schedule deadlines are met.
- Identify and create goals that lead to the successful completion of project deliverables within the allotted time
- Effectively communicate detailed schedule development to stakeholders department leads production management and executive management
- Perform detailed schedule risk and continuous improvementbased analysis to identify develop and drive solutions
- Frequently lifts twists and rotates with 32 pounds on a consistent basis
- Works overtime weekend holiday and/or second shift hours as needed by program
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years postSecondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing production or other highly schedulebased environment
- Experience in project or program techniques
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Excel Word Project and PowerPoint)
- Experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems
- Interpret basic engineering instructions and drawings
