Description

DNVs Energy Markets and Strategy (EMS) team provides economic strategic regulatory and policy advisory services related to energy markets energy infrastructures energy technologies and business models.

To further grow our services on energy markets in the DACH countriesDNVs EMS team in Germany is seeking experienced consultants.

This role puts you at the forefront of the global energy transition. You will collaborate on innovative earlyphase projects delivering industrydefining results to our customers. You will be an expert on wholesale and balancing markets ancillary and system services and demand side flexibility in the DACH countries.You will develop your skills and support us in enhancing our reputation for quality innovation and integrity. You will perform with a high degree of individual responsibility in a role you can actively shape.

Your tasks in this role will include the following:

  • Providing strategic and analytical economic advice for our clients on power and gas markets assessing energy sector investments and business models.
  • Leading consulting projects for clients from proposal preparation to project delivery.
  • Being an expert point of contact for our customers in the DACH countries on wholesale energy markets ancillary and system services balancing markets demand side flexibility and commercial due diligence.
  • Driving the continuous development and expansion of our services including identifying market opportunities acquiring new projects and writing winning proposals.

The EMS team

The team located in Bonn (Germany) is providing economic and commercial advice on the energy sector to clients in the DACH countries and internationally. We focus on the energy transition and the impact of the switch to renewable energy resources. Rapid changes create uncertainty and risk from a market perspective and we take an active role in helping our clients manage that risk through indepth knowledge of power gas and the broader energy markets.

Our portfolio of services includes policy and market analysis economic regulation and energy market design market and system integration of renewable energies economic and financial assessment of investments assets and business models commercial and regulatory due diligence market modelling and power price forecasting. Our clients are leading utilities network operators project developers industrials financial institutions and various energy and climate focused government entities.

Qualifications

You should have the following:

  • Experience in the design analysis and assessment of energy markets as well as the assessment and valuation of energy sector investments and business models.
  • Deep understanding of wholesale energy and balancing markets ancillary and system services with excellent practical knowledge of the energy sector and market in the DACH countries.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and project management experience.
  • Comfortable leading and selling projects to existing and new clients.
  • Fluent or native German speaker with excellent English language skills (written and spoken).
  • Ability to cooperate well with others.
  • Selfmotivated proactive result and solutionoriented mindset high sense of responsibility and personal integrity.
