Job Description:
- L3Harris is seeking an experienced and highly skilled senior Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in signal processing and practical experience in designing implementing and optimizing DSP algorithms for various applications. As a DSP Engineer you will work on cuttingedge projects that involve the development of innovative solutions for processing and analyzing digital signals in realtime.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the design development and implementation of advanced DSP algorithms for various applications including audio and data communications processing.
- Optimize DSP algorithms for performance power consumption and memory usage on various hardware platforms.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including hardware engineers software developers and system architects to integrate DSP solutions into products.
- Conduct simulations and performance analysis to validate and refine DSP algorithms.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and midlevel engineers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay uptodate with the latest advancements in DSP technology and apply new techniques and methodologies to improve existing solutions.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of DSP solutions and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Ability to Obtain a US Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in DSP Software Engineering.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of realtime operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems design.
- Development experience with the Linux OS
- Proficiency with C C
- Proficiency with multithreaded multicore design and/or realtime operating systems
- Experience with objectoriented design
- Understanding of Design Implementation and Testing of large software systems
- Experience with software emulators/debuggers
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment; good interpersonal and communication skills
- Creativity in problem solving.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role is $93500 $173500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
