Job Summary:
Performs diagnostic radiology procedures by utilizing equipment and employing techniques and procedures that are appropriate to the entire span of ages served in accordance with accepted standards of practice and demonstrating expertise in limiting radiation exposure to patients and other members of the health care team.
Assists radiologists and other qualified staff physicians with invasive procedures patient scheduling clerical and image processing functions.
Required Education Certification and Registration:
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology such as an Associate Degree in Radiography.
- Minimum six months experience as a diagnostic Radiologic Technologist preferred. One year experience with patients preferred.
- Currently registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible and must become registered within 12 months of hire.
- Current BLS certification.

- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate on a professional level with physicians nurses and other ancillary professional staff
- Ability to maintain daily schedules
- Clinical skills to enable recognition and to function accordingly in relation to priorities of patient needs
- Performs effectively with frequent workload changes and competing demands
