Job Description
A wellestablished law firm with a national presence is seeking an attorney to join its Healthcare & LongTerm Care Litigation Practice Group in the San Diego CA office.
Qualifications:
- Must be admitted to practice in California.
- 17 years of experience representing healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings.
- Experience defending and litigating medical malpractice lawsuits is preferred.
- Strong writing and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and respond to discovery requests and initial pleadings.
- Prepare and argue motions in open court.
- Conduct witness interviews and depositions (both taking and defending).
- Manage cases from prelitigation through trial preparation.
- Work directly with healthcare clients including hospitals physicians nurses and longterm care facilities.
Practice Focus Areas:
- Medical malpractice litigation across various specialties (obstetrics surgery cardiology neurology etc..
- Elder abuse litigation for longterm care facilities.
- Representation of healthcare providers in state and federal courts.
