Job Description

A wellestablished law firm with a national presence is seeking an attorney to join its Healthcare & LongTerm Care Litigation Practice Group in the San Diego CA office.

Qualifications:

  • Must be admitted to practice in California.
  • 17 years of experience representing healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings.
  • Experience defending and litigating medical malpractice lawsuits is preferred.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and respond to discovery requests and initial pleadings.
  • Prepare and argue motions in open court.
  • Conduct witness interviews and depositions (both taking and defending).
  • Manage cases from prelitigation through trial preparation.
  • Work directly with healthcare clients including hospitals physicians nurses and longterm care facilities.

Practice Focus Areas:

  • Medical malpractice litigation across various specialties (obstetrics surgery cardiology neurology etc..
  • Elder abuse litigation for longterm care facilities.
  • Representation of healthcare providers in state and federal courts.
