- Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or advanced practice providers.
- Monitors patients vital signs and records their medical histories.
- Assists with activities of daily living including bathing dressing and grooming.
- Provides emotional support and education to patients and their families.
- Maintains accurate and uptodate medical records.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
Education Requirement:
Graduate of an approved school of practical or vocational nursing required.
Licensure Requirement:
Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of Ohio required.
Certifications:
CPR certification required.
Skills:
- Working knowledge of the concept of family centered care.
- Ability to function collaboratively within the framework of an Interdisciplinary Team.
- Problem solving organization communication skills and ability to work independently and react appropriately to crisis situations.
Experience:
- One year of experience in a pediatric care setting preferred.
- One year of home health experience preferred.
