Job Description:
The qualified candidate will contribute to the companys success by qualifying L3Harris products to applicable military standards. This role will report directly to the Senior Manager of the Reliability and Environmental Engineering Services team and is responsible for successfully conducting reliability and MILSTD810 qualification tests.
Essential Functions:
- Analyze and interpret MILSTD810 Methods and Procedures with ability to apply interpreted knowledge gained to L3Harris product testing.
- Facilitate/conduct Environmental & Reliability Engineering testing.
- Lead projects and prepare formal test documentation (project estimates statements of work project schedules test plans procedures and reports).
- Perform inhouse product qualification tests/ coordinate performance of (and participate in) offsite tests at thirdparty test labs.
- Provide regular communication (interim status noteworthy events decision points etc. to relevant parties on a timely basis.
- Provide technical guidance to earlycareer engineers
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant reliability testing experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related reliabilitytesting experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related reliability testing experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in performance testing of Radio Frequency communications gear.
- Experience in programming and operating environmental climatics chamber controllers (i.e. Thermotron Russells Watlow).
- Experience operating vibration tables.
- Experience with LabVIEW programming.
- Proficiency with ObjectOriented Programming and Design.
- Certification as a Reliability Engineer (CRE).
- Experience/proficiency with the following test equipment: Audio/Network/Spectrum Analyzers Signal Generators Frequency Counters and RF Power Meters.
- Experience/proficiency with: MS Outlook Word Excel Project Teams and Visio.
- Clear effective interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal).
- Teamoriented and able to work successfully with others to efficiently use shared resources and accomplish team objectives.
- Proficient at technical writing.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role inColorado State Hawaii Illinois Maryland Minnesota Vermont and New York State is $90500 $168500.
