Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Initiate communication with clients to promote and explain the benefits of new and existing services.
  • Follow up on client contacts and address client concerns to resolve issues.
  • Provide technical assistance to clients regarding product inspection and followup services.
  • Establish appropriate test programs by reviewing files manufacturers information examining samples and applying UL requirements.
  • Notify clients of any noncompliance with UL requirements or changes in project scope/specifications.
  • Coordinate laboratory activities by preparing data sheets scheduling and reviewing work of Laboratory Technicians and support staff and establishing completion dates.
  • Manage administrative aspects of project management.
  • Serve as Project Handler of record and may sign as Reviewer of record as assigned.
  • Communicate project status and results to clients through frequent contact and report preparation.
  • Prepare FollowUp Service Procedures and information pages.
  • Integrate continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
  • Resolve engineering issues associated with Variation Notices by analyzing and reporting on the acceptability of variations.
  • Propose development of new and/or revised UL requirements.
  • Develop special test methods and test equipment.
  • Coordinate and/or perform File Reviews.
  • Represent UL at industryrelated functions such as seminars and trade shows.
  • Provide direction as a Primary Designated Engineer or Designated Engineer for specific product categories.
  • Direct and review work of assigned staff.
  • Train office field and/or laboratory staff and entrylevel engineers.
  • Provide technical assistance to laboratory and/or field staff.
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and adhere to all physical and digital security practices.
  • Perform other duties as directed.


Qualifications
  • Degree in Electronical or Electrotechnical Engineer.
  • Detailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the appropriate discipline.
  • Working knowledge of conformity standards in use in EMC.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply projecthandling concepts in use in area of expertise
  • Fluency in English and Italian
  • Availability to work on shift (Morning Afternoon)
