Job Description
Unified Basektbalfl Coach
Position Location: Sherwood High School
Position Start Date: December 1 2025
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Unified Basketball Coach to lead our team in fostering an inclusive supportive and competitive environment for athletes of all abilities. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills a passion for in clusivity and a commitment to the Unified Sports (Special Olympics) mission.
Responsiblities:
- Plan and communicate practice and game schedules.
- Ensure proper supervision and logistics for all team activities.
- Manage team rosters and coordinate with other Unified coaches.
- Distribute collect and maintain uniforms.
- Serve as the main contact for parents and athletes providing clear expectations and updates.
- Foster a positive team culture and uphold sportsmanship standards.
- Attend all preactices home games and away games.
Qualifications:
- Coaching or experience working with individuals of diverse abilities preferred.
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to commit to the full season including travel for away games.
- Passion for inclusion and adaptive sports.
