The Sales Manager Leagues and Tournaments works in Black Bears Leagues and Tournament Divisions and has direct sales responsibility for growing Defender Hockey Tournaments and Federations league and events. In year one the role includes the title of: Sales Manager Leagues and Tournaments with specific emphasis on growing Defender Hockey Tournaments and Federations league and events.
Short term goals:
Defender Hockey Tournaments
Recruit new teams development of growth plan of tournament operations.
Work with team to improve leagues and tournament operations and customer experience.
Federations
Grow existing showcases and league membership.
Assist with operation when available.
Long Term goals for the Division as a whole:
League and Tournament Operations
Operations scheduling marketing and communications with participants to ensure events are run professionally.
Collaborate with Black Bear rinks to run bestinclass events.
Collaborate to develop customer communication and acquisition strategy.
Revenue growth
Position is responsible for revenue growth via promotion of events and leagues and executing strategies to directly recruit new teams and youth clubs
Assess and develop new strategies for complementary addons e.g. tournaments showcases unique customer experiences etc.
Maximize customer retention
Experience Requirements:
The candidate should have an understanding of American youth hockey structure existing leagues and youth organizations.
Experience working in hockey or sports leagues/tournaments and/or general event management is a plus.
Sales experience

The Sales Manager reports to Tony Zasowski VP of Leagues and Tournaments
Location: Dallas TX (Remote OK)
Travel: Some travel (TBD)
