POSITION: Senior Manager of STEM Curriculum and Instruction
LOCATION: DSST: Home Office located in Denver CO
SALARY RANGE: $77500 $94500 based on up to 10 years of aligned experience
STATUS/CLASSIFICATION: Full time benefits eligible exempt inperson position (Denver CO)
This is a fixed term one year role.
START and END: July 14th 2025 June 30th 2026.

WHAT YOULL DO:
The Senior Manager of STEM Curriculum and Instruction will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of highquality STEM curricula across DSSTs middle and high schools. This role will ensure instructional excellence in STEM courses and provide targeted support for teachers coaches and leaders to drive student achievement in STEM disciplines.
The role will focus first on Middle School STEM Lab a new course at DSST refining its curriculum and instruction during the pilot year before scaling it across all middle schools. The High School STEM redesign will also be a key focus ensuring a cohesive highimpact STEM pathway from middle to high school. Additionally this role will provide support for Creative Core teachers ensuring strong curriculum alignment while prioritizing STEM programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the development refinement and implementation of the Middle School STEM Lab curriculum ensuring alignment with high school STEM pathways and authentic problems in STEM.
Facilitate collaboration between schoolbased teams and community partners in STEM to ensure that classroom learning stays connected to STEM industry challenges and industry standards.
Support the STEM Lab pilot across middle schools gathering feedback from teachers and students to refine curriculum instructional strategies and project designs ahead of fullscale implementation.
Guide the High School STEM curriculum redesign ensuring instructional alignment with workforce and collegeready STEM competencies.
Ensure all STEM curricula are rigorous equitable and aligned with DSSTs Graduate Profile outcomes.
Develop exemplar STEM instructional materials model units and projectbased learning experiences.
Support the integration of technology including AI across STEM courses.
Conduct regular and strategic classroom observations to assess instructional effectiveness and provide targeted coaching to STEM teachers.
Coach instructional leaders and schoolbased coaches on how to best support STEM teachers in their development.
Design and facilitate professional learning sessions for STEM teachers to build content knowledge and instructional skills.
Provide trainthetrainer support to instructional coaches ensuring STEM teachers receive highquality feedback and coaching.
Build systems and structures for instructional alignment in STEM ensuring consistency across schools.
Work with school leadership teams to set goals for STEM instruction and ensure alignment with STEM strategic priorities.
Support Creative Core teacher leaders (Music Art PE) in developing strong tailored professional development plans that address the unique instructional needs of their teams and enhance student learning experiences.
Partner with the Home Office STEM Team to align instructional support with industry trends and best practices.
Collaborate with industry partners and higher education institutions to enhance realworld STEM experiences for students.
Develop and maintain resources training materials and best practices that elevate STEM instruction across DSST.
Model DSSTs Core Values Commitment to the Human Condition and our commitment to equity as a leader within the network.
Play an active leadership role in building and sustaining Home Office culture.
Engage with our school communities to actively build relationships between our schools and the Home Office.
Participate in and support the of Home Office and networkwide events like the STEM and Creative Core Showcase.
Any other duties assigned to meet the needs of DSST schools.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree required from accredited university.
At least 5 years of teaching experience in a STEM discipline.
2or more years of demonstrated success in curriculum development and instructional leadership.
Three years of leadership experience as a teacher leader administrator or other leadership role in education.
At least 3 years experience coaching teachers or leading professional development.
At least 3 years experience in projectbased learning (PBL) with a strong ability to design implement and support handson inquirydriven STEM experiences that engage students in realworld problemsolving.
A strong customer service mindset and ability to guide users clearly to solutions.
Strong commitment to solving education inequity and passion for the role of innovative programming in that solution.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in a STEMrelated field or education.
Experience leading curriculum development in a network district or statelevel role.
Experience piloting or integrating AI tools in educational settings.
Familiarity with career pathways industry certifications or STEM workforce development.
Experience planning events that showcase student work and build authentic partnerships.
