Job Summary:The College Research Coordinator I assists researchers and staff within a department unit or college with proposal preparation and review proposal budget development award administration and related activities under general supervision. Provides guidance on compliance with Federal State and Local government regulations related to preaward and/or postaward sponsored project activities. Participates in training as required by the Office for Research & Economic Development and serves as a liaison for the college to ORED.
Additional Department Summary:Assists the Associate Dean of Research and faculty with grant and contract applications management and reporting. Coordinates with the Associate Dean faculty staff university and external stakeholders for grants submission management and reporting. Assists with developing reviewing and revising grant and contract budgets. Assures compliance with School of Social Work university local state and federal policies related to grants and contracts. Maintains and manages data relevant to the Office of Social Work Research (OSWR). Coordinates activities between the OSWR and its stakeholders within the School across the university and externally. Arranges meetings and other events. Assists with preparing meeting notes reports newsletters presentations and research communications.
Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree and one 1 year of experience; OR a Masters degree or higher.
Skills and Knowledge:Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational budgeting and time management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Banner Cayuse Pivot and Qualtrics. Familiarity with processes and policies associated with the Office of Sponsored Programs. Experience working in a research environment working on grants/contracts and proposal development/postaward management.
