RTX BBN Technologies solves challenging problems of high importance to our customers in the Department of Defense the Intelligence Community and Industry by rapidly prototyping systems for sensing complex physical phenomena correlating them to events of interest and producing highvalue actionable information from the sensed data. The team specializes in delivering networked sensor system solutions by leveraging a strong understanding of the underlying physics highfidelity modeling and simulation of complex signatures and propagation phenomenology deep expertise in signal processing proven capabilities in system development and mature tools to enable rapid design cycles from theory to demonstration. The team also develops Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and solutions by leveraging extensive knowledge of various sensing systems. BBN is currently seeking a Senior Engineer EW and Signal Processing with experience in several of the following areas to join our team in Arlington VA or Columbia MD:

• Statistical signal processing
• Adaptive signal processing
• RF propagation modeling
• Sensing
• Physicallayer communications

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop and implement innovative algorithms and techniques for RF Sensing and EW systems.
• Conduct rapid prototyping of software solutions using MATLAB Python and C/C.
• Perform signal processing and analysis to support mission systems.
• Contribute to radar EP and ESM research and capability development.
• Apply software engineering practices to integrate research outputs into operational tools and systems.
• Collaborate with crossdisciplinary teams to solve challenging problems and deliver actionable results.
• Participate in laboratory and field tests to collect and analyze data test new capabilities and perform demonstrations.
• Overnight travel required for certain projects

Qualifications you Must Have:

• A Bachelors degree in a related major and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
• Strong proficiency in MATLAB Python and/or C/C.
• Solid foundation in RF signal processing and algorithm development.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply complex technical concepts.
• Capacity to develop novel concepts that address challenging technical problems of concern to BBNs customers
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to routinely plans/directs/coordinates projects or significant portions of large projects; projects are complex difficult and involve multiple staff.
• Takes proactive action to anticipate understand and meet customer needs.
• Speaks for BBN to external customers; customer relies on experience and performance
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance is required. Active security clearance is a plus.

Qualifications We Prefer Familiar with all Expert in some

• Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience working on technical teams on advanced R&D programs (e.g. DARPA IARPA AFRL ONR research projects).
• Significant experience implementing researchgrade algorithms and applying these to data collected from real sensors or radios
• Experience conducting research and publishing findings.

The salary range for this role is 137000 USD 275000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
