FINANCIAL ANALYST
TRAVERSE CITY MICHIGAN (PLANT)
As a member of the Lear Traverse City team the Financial Analystwill be responsible forfinancial reporting and analysis of the plant. Providing reporting and analysis to facilitate critical business decisions based on financial data. Supporting plant operations by providing actionable information on key performance indicators and trends. Communicating with and coordinating plant and division functions that promotes organizational success. The ideal candidate would be a selfstarting individual who excels in a fast pace and everchanging environment. Problem solving ability accuracy and follow through are important traits for success in this position.
The Role:
Your work will include but not be limited to:
- Participate in the monthly quarterly and year end close process to ensure adherence to the financial statements compliance in accordance with US GAAP and SOX
- Help ensure plant compliance with all company internal controls and drive compliance throughout the organization
- Monitor and maintain Intercompany balances on a monthly basis
- Complete weekly tie out to ensure proper interface of accounts
- Create and verify the accuracy of month end journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support the semiannual physical inventory to ensure accuracy of records
- Assist with adherence to purchasing procedures and supplier discrepancies
- Assist with customer billings and records
- Responsible to support various meetings ad hoc projects and/or requests from plants division and corporate
- Other duties as assigned by the Controller or Plant Manager

Your Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- 12 years of Accounting or Finance experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Proven analytical communication and organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to work a flexible and/or changeable schedule especially during the month end close process
Bonus If You Have:
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- QAD software experience
